A cold, sunny day

This morning was sunny and bright.  But I know enough to know that it would be cold.  One of the advantages of living in temperate climate is that I can layer my clothes.  Back home, I could never do that.  I'd break out in sweat even after a short, leisurely 5minute walk in thin cotton t-shirt and shorts.

So I eagerly pulled out my Desigual trench coat that I bought last year when it was on sale.  I thought it was going to keep me warm but when Pete opened the door to let us out of the building, the wind blew cold winds right into my exposed neck.

Scarf!  I forgot the scarf!  Next time I'm going to be ready.  I'm going to use the scarves I received from my thoughtful friends back home.

Nevertheless, I am determined to get used to the cold.  Maybe some day I can be like one of those Swedish girls who can walk around in just a thin pair of thights and a short winter coat in December, or like some of the guys I saw today who were wearing just shorts and t-shirts.  Maybe.
